What the key tasks will look like
- You have a key role in supporting the Head of Compliance and the Compliance function as well as other stakeholders in embedding and ensuring compliance throughout the Company;
- You support in multiple domains, primarily in insurance regulation (insurance law, insurance products, consumer protection, …) as well as fiscal related topics.
- You will provide advice to management, draft norms and monitor the correct implementation of said norms.
- You will perform frequent compliance risk assessments, reporting on the compliance activities and findings and providing trainings to ensure apt confirmity.
As part of the Compliance department, the Compliance Expert will report directly to the Head of Compliance.
Required skills and competencies
- A Master degree in Law with a minimum of 3 years of experience within the financial sector in a similar position;
- Good collaboration and organizational skills;
- Confidentiality, integrity and independence of judgement;
- Good analytical and communication skills;
- Perfect command of French and/or Dutch and a working knowledge of the second national language. Fluency in English is also required;
- You have a strong interest in insurance law and products, financial sanctions, and IT compliance.
